Dr. Morales has the honor and privilege to serve as an Oaxaqueñx Youth Encuentro (OYE) committee member, which is a group that hosts annual gatherings for Zapotec, Mixtec, and Triqui youth living in Oaxacalifornia. She is also a co-founder of Collective of Pueblos Originarios in Diaspora (CPOD), a student campus organization that centers the lived experiences of Indigenous (Mixtec, Zapotec, and Maya) students at UC Santa Barbara.
